DOMAINE ARLAUD
Domaine Arlaud was founded in 1942 through the marriage of Joseph Arlaud and Renée Amiot, with the latter’s dowry including prime vineyard parcels in Burgundy. Joseph expanded the estate with strategic acquisitions starting in 1949. In 1966, the family acquired a historic 14th-century building for aging their wines, which is featured on their labels. Hervé Arlaud, who took over in 1983, and his wife Brigitte, expanded the estate, which their children managed together from 2004 to 2012. In 2003, the family transitioned to a modern facility in Morey-Saint-Denis, though the historic cellar in Nuits-Saint-Georges remains for the wine library and special tastings. Cyprien Arlaud took full control in 2013, overseeing a 15-hectare estate with 19 vineyard sites, including prized plots in four Grand Crus: Clos de la Roche, Clos Saint Denis, Charmes Chambertin, and Bonnes Mares.
