DOMAINE DENIS MORTET
Denis Mortet, a key figure in Burgundy, began his career with his father at Domaine Charles Mortet and took over winemaking in the mid-1980s. Influenced by Henri Jayer and Lalou Bize Leroy, Denis founded his own domaine in 1992 with 4.5 hectares in Gevrey-Chambertin. Known for impeccable farming and richly textured wines, he expanded to 11 hectares, gaining a reputation for quality. After his sudden death in 2006, his son Arnaud, supported by his sister Clémence and mother Laurence, took over. Arnaud has refined the winemaking approach, focusing on elegance and precision while maintaining the domaine's esteemed legacy.
