JACQUES CARILLON
The monks of Cîteaux, Mazières Abbey, and Cluny played a fundamental role in shaping Burgundy's vineyards, leaving a lasting legacy. Their expertise, passed down through generations, gained prominence when the Popes in Avignon, starting in 1309, introduced Burgundy wines to European royalty, sparking a storied history cherished by wine lovers worldwide. In Burgundy, nature sets the pace, and the winemakers respect the vines, letting the terroir shine. This tradition dates back to Jehan Carillon, a winemaker in 1520, and continues with Jacques Carillon, who, alongside Sylvia, cultivates 5 hectares in the prime climats of Puligny-Montrachet. Their wines, entirely from their own vineyards, embody the deep connection between land, history, and the pleasure of wine.
