French Oak Barrels

Oak barrels, consisting of new and old barrels, are made from staves which are long pieces of oak wood wrapped tightly with metal hoops.

**French oak barrels are only made from oak trees that grow in France and are the only container that can impart a flavor to wine. 

1. Oxidation - French Oak Barrels have plenty of porous which allows slow evaporation and oxidation to the wine which directly affect the taste of wine. 

2 .Flavor - Oak barrels impart a lot of flavors depending on many factors ; old barrels, new barrels, toasting, year of usage, and temperature.

3. Lifetime - Each barrels can be used approximately 3 vintages (4-6 years)

4.Specialty : Only oak barrels have a high porosity, allowing them to impart a distinctive flavor to wine. Oak barrels also be the higest turn over rate among all of the containers! (Because some of the producers prefer to use New oak to impart more on flavors, so they might have to change the oak)

Stainless Steel

A container made from stainless steel, most commonly used in the wine-making industry used both for fermentation, aging, and storage.

1. Oxidation - Stainless Steel Tank is an airtight seal over the whole container, the only container that winemakers are able to control the speed of oxidation and temperature throughout the process

2 .Flavor - Stainless steel doesn’t impart any flavor to wine, so the wine will retain the primary characteristics of the used grapes, type of soil, and terrior.  

3. Lifetime - Highly resistant and long lasting more than 30 years due to the strong materials.

4.Specialty : Easy to control the temperature, maintain, and easy to clean. Prevent wine loss from evaporation and environment friendly than oak barrels.

Amphore

A large clay vessel that has been used for thousands of years, dating back to the ancient Greeks. Nowadays, Amphora is becoming more popular as the natural and biodynamic winemaking process gains popularity!

1. Oxidation -  Amphora has a limited amount of porous, therefore they are still breathable and produce micro oxidation to wine which tends to develop nothing much in particular due to their structure.

2 .Flavor -  Amphore doesn’t impart any third flavor according to the small amount of porous which is the entrance of oxygen and quite important for wine to develop its taste.

3. Lifetime - Highly resistant and long lasting more than 30 years due to the strong materials.

4.Specialty : Amphora has high thermal conductivity which creates a unique temperature regime and receives the most original taste from grapes and terrior.
